Leaked photo of LG Optimus 3D
What could be better than the dual-core LG optimus 2X? How about a 3D version? Obviously that’s what LG must have thought, or they wouldn’t have come up with this, the LG Optimus 3D, which the company is all set to unveil at MWC 2011 on February 14th.
Little is known of this monster, other than it wil lhave a 4.3″ display, dual-core Tegra2 processor, multi-channle RAM for blistering performance, a glasses-free 3D display and a 3D camera on the back.
OK, so not much may be known about the Optimus 3D, but that little list of features on its own puts it head and shoulders above ever other smartphone on the planet!
LG on fire
LG is on fire for 2011, with the Optimus 2X, Optimus Black and now the Optimus 3D all looking superb phones that are running away with the cutting edge.
This is all a far cry from the poor line up they released last year, and it’s just as well, as LG Mobile is haemorraging money and market share nearly as badly as Nokia!
How well the Optimus 3D will do will depend on the quality of its 3D display. LG are legendary for releasing features that sound good on paper, but which don’t actually work too well. It was the first company to release a 5 megapixel camera phoen in the UK, for example, but it didn’t have auto focus and so any picture you took with it came out blurry!
Let’s hope the company doesn’t make the same mistake with the Optmius 3D. I like the sound of a dual-core 3D Android smartphone and really hope LG can deliver!
