New Year Sales Roundup part 1: the best gaming bundles
If you didn’t get what you wanted for Christmas – or even if you did, but you just fancy a new phone! – now’s the perfect time as the online phone stores are falling over themselves to clear their stock with some outrageous deals.
With brand new phones heading for the stores in the next couple of months, the current crop of outrageously great phones of 2010 are being bundled with some fantastic gifts, or else just slashed in price.
Just like I did before Christmas, I’ve trawled through the deals currently on offer, and come up with my selection of the best of the New Year Sales bundles for you, all in one place.
I’ve focused solely on gaming bundles, as these have been by far the most popular amongst you, my lovely readers. If gaming’s not your thing, though, there are dozens of other gifts being bundled for free with phones during the New Year sales period, so it pays to check out the deals I’ve linked to below to see what else is on offer.

The HTC Desire, with its 1GHz processor and huge 4″ screen, was one of the first range of superphones that ushered in a whole new era of smartphones in 2010. Now that the Desire HD is out, the Desire is being sold off at a ridiculous price, with a free XBox 360 and Kinect thrown in to tempt you even more!

HTC Wildfire plus XBox 360 plus Kinect
The HTC Wildfire, while not as powerful as the HTC Desire, is still a full featured Android phone with HTC’s legendary Sense user interface, meaning it does pretty much everything you’d expect from an HTC Android phone. But because it’s a budget model, it does it all for an awful lot less, meaning you get the phone, the XBox 360 and the Kinect, for less than the price of a brand new Desire HD.

Nokia N8 plus Xbox 360 plus Kinect
The Nokia N8 is the world’s best camera phone, and although it’s not perfect in all areas, when bundled with a free XBox 360, Kinect and three games, it’s pretty hard to beat as a superb deal!

The cheapest XBox 360 and Kinect deal on the market

It’s an LG Cookie Lite, which is a touchscreen phone that doesn’t do much, but is perfect for the kids’ first touchscreen phone. Sony Playstation 3 Slim plus Move plus Phone

It’s a touchscreen phone with all the features you’d expect and captures great photos and videos as well.
